Why KVM

A real virtual machine, not a chroot

KVM is the Linux-native, type-1 hypervisor we run on Proxmox VE. Every plan you order gives you a full virtual machine — not a container, not a shared user, not an overcommitted slice.

Full kernel access

Load custom kernel modules, run Docker properly without nested-namespace caveats, mount the filesystems you need. The kernel is yours.

Custom OS images

Ubuntu LTS and Debian stable are the defaults. AlmaLinux / Rocky Linux on request. Windows Server is available with the appropriate license.

No noisy neighbors

vCPU and RAM are dedicated, not overcommitted. Your tick rate stays steady through your neighbor’s traffic spike. SSD I/O is provisioned per VM.

Same isolation as bare metal

Kernel-level separation — not just process boundaries. A misbehaving neighbor cannot touch your filesystem, your memory, or your network.

Which one is right

VPS vs the alternatives

A quick decision helper. If you are unsure, VPS is the right answer for most production workloads — that is why we sell it.

What is the difference between KVM and a container?
A KVM virtual machine has its own kernel and behaves like a real computer. A container shares the host kernel. KVM gives you stronger isolation, custom kernel modules, and the ability to run any OS — at the cost of slightly more RAM overhead per VM. For production work, that overhead is the right trade.
Can I run Windows Server?
Yes, on request. You bring your own Windows Server license (or buy one through us) and we provision a VM with the appropriate image. Pricing for the Windows license is separate from the plan price.
Do you offer DDoS protection?
Edge-level DDoS mitigation is in place across both locations. Specific thresholds and mitigation tiers are documented per request — contact sales if your workload is a known target.
How do backups work?
Snapshots are available on request. For production workloads we recommend customer-managed off-site backups in addition (restic, borg, rclone to S3, etc.). We do not currently sell managed backup as a separate product.
What happens if I outgrow my plan?
Open a ticket and we will resize your VM in place where possible, or migrate you to a larger plan with minimal downtime. There is no penalty for upgrading mid-cycle — billing prorates from the upgrade date.
Cancellations and refunds?
Cancel any time from the client portal. Service ends at the close of your current billing cycle. We do not prorate refunds for partial months on cancellation, but we will work with you on edge cases — open a ticket.
Do you provide IPv6?
Yes. Each VM ships with both IPv4 and IPv6 by default. Additional IPv4 addresses are available on request for an extra fee.
